Dear Women,
At Faith Baptist Church we seek to encourage you with a sense of belonging, to empower you in becoming all you can be through Christ, and to equip you for blessing your family, friends, church, community, and the world with the grace and truth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We encourage you to both grow and serve in any of the various ministries here, that God has shaped you for and that are available here at and through Faith. If you have any questions about, or suggestions for, Women’s Ministries please feel free to contact one of the board members listed in this brochure.

Our Vision
Serving the Church, as our passion, to provide for the physical needs of the Church and the spiritual needs of Women.

Our Purpose
To encourage all women by instilling in them a sense of BELONGING through our unconditional acceptance of them; to help women in BECOMING all that they can be through Christ by providing and encouraging opportunities for growth; and by equipping women for BLESSING others through service.

MOPS (Mothers of pre-schoolers) ~ a vital ministry here at Faith. This program provides mothers of pre-school age children with the opportunity to come and enjoy a program and craft as well as the ability to connect with other mothers, while their children are taking part in a quality program of their own. MOPS meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from Sept. through May. If you are interested in attending or helping with this special ministry to young mothers, please contact Kathy DeWitt at 735-6032.

SECRET PALS ~ Our secret pal program is a ministry of encouragement. Approximately every six months, secret pals are randomly chosen. The next six months are spent praying for your secret pal and encouraging her in various ways, such as notes, cards, flowers from your garden, cookies you have baked, etc. At the end of the six-month period, all secret pals get together for a fun time to reveal themselves and choose new secret pals.

BIBLE STUDIES ~ We are pleased to be able to provide a variety of Bible Studies to meet the needs of women at different levels in their walk with Christ. It is our desire that you have opportunities to grow in your relationship with God and with other women. See the Women’s Ministry bulletin board or the weekly newsletter for current studies being offered.

DISCIPLESHIP & MENTORING ~ this is an opportunity for women to develop a relationship with another woman for the purpose of spiritual growth and maturity. There is a wide variety of materials from which to choose, suitable for whatever stage you are at in your spiritual journey.

PRAYER ~ ‘Stir yourself to pray’ Is 64:7. The Women’s Prayer Group will begin every Tuesday starting September 8, 2009 at 11:30am-12:30pm. This is a great time to bond with other women of the church.

SPECIAL EVENTS ~ Each year we attempt to offer a variety of special events designed for fun, fellowship, and growth. These events are open to all women and attendance is encouraged in order to grow and strengthen friendships. Be looking for details concerning upcoming events in the Newsletter and please plan to join us!

WOMEN’S RETREAT ~ Each year women from Faith join women from other churches in attending a retreat held at either Lake Ellen or Lake Lundgren Bible Camps. The retreat is held over a weekend, always in September and features a main speaker, seminars and activities. Details are posted on the Women’s Ministry board and on the info desk.
