Men's Ministries
Men’s Ministry at FBC is Under
Construction. While some of our men do some great things here at FBC to help
others and to get things done, and others are in process, we are working on
developing a Whole-person and Life-Cycle approach to our Men’s Ministry.
Stay Tuned!!!
The Whole Man
Where are you at in your life-cycle as a man? Married? Single? Young? With
Children? Empty Nest? Retired? We all have differing needs depending
on where we are in our life-cycle and due to differing circumstances. We also
have different things to contribute to the other men and to the Bride of Christ,
the church, depending on that same life-cycle. What can we do at FBC to minister
to the whole man? Where do you fit in?
Warriors Awakened
Our developing boys and young men need direct input from the godly men in their
lives. As a church, a corp, the body of Christ, we men need to come together to
lift up and train our young men to be the godly offspring THE FATHER desires. We
also want to come alongside the single moms in the church to assist them in
their efforts of raising and training their children “In the way they should
go”. What are you able to give? What are we able to develop here?
Men’s
Annual Wild Game Dinner
Usually held in March, our Annual Men’s Game Dinner now draws over 300 men
to a great wild game feast along with well known professional hunters and
speakers. This is a very inexpensive event for the men of the community to hear
top-notch hunting experts and to spend time together as men.
It is an outreach event with the
speakers talk about their Christian Faith and how it relates to their passions
for wildlife and hunting. $1,000’s of dollars in prizes are donated and given
away and the church is converted into a Men’s Hunting Lodge for the weekend.
Father/Child,
Canoe/Camping
on the Peshtigo River at the Williamson’s Farm. Annually, we get away for
fathers to spend time together with our children; creating, camping, canoeing,
swimming, eating, and more. more info =>
Disciplined and Dangerous
Strong leadership is needed in the church today. But strong doesn’t mean
what the world pumps out. Our leadership model is Jesus Christ, the one who laid
it all down for His followers and to build His Church. A dangerous man. A
powerfully humble man and God. To be a leader in the Church, more than being a
capable man, you need to be a spiritual man, someone who has evidenced a life of
dedication to following Christ where Christ is leading them... Men who are tuned
into a life of prayer and the study of God’s Word. All men are to be pursuing
this, but those who have evidenced it in their life are then able to be tapped
on the shoulder to lead. Where are you?
Iron Sharpening Iron
Men’s Small Groups for the purposes of growing in their relationship with
God because of their relationships with each other. It takes men to confront men
and God to change them. Consider the challenge of digging into it with other men
for Life-Change to happen to you.
